Legal Grounds for Processing

We process personal data strictly in accordance with statutory regulations. Depending on the processing scenario, the legal grounds under the GDPR include:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG): When you voluntarily grant consent to specific processes, such as loading optional third-party integrations (e.g. interactive Cal.com appointment calendar).
  • Performance of a Contract or Pre-Contractual Measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): When you send an inquiry via our contact form or book a consultation meeting to prepare your event or wedding planning proposal.
  • Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): To guarantee the secure, technically flawless, and stable provision of our website and server infrastructure.

Hosting & Server Log Files

When visiting our website, the web server automatically collects and temporarily stores technical connection data in server log files transmitted by your browser. This includes:

  • Anonymised IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and exact time of the server request
  • Requested page or file path (URL)
  • HTTP response status code and data volume transferred
  • Referrer URL (the website previously visited)
  • Browser type, version, and operating system

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to ensure server stability, detect abuse, and prevent security breaches. Log data is not merged with any other personal data sources and is erased automatically in accordance with standard server retention intervals.

Cookies & Local Storage

Our website is committed to a privacy-first approach. We deliberately refrain from advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing services (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel).

Strictly Necessary Local Storage (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG)

We use the browser’s LocalStorage exclusively for technically necessary functions requested directly by you:

  • theme: Stores your selected visual theme (light or dark mode) across page views.
  • events_alicea_cookie_consent_v1: Records your cookie and integration preferences so you are not repeatedly prompted.

Optional Third-Party Media (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)

External interactive tools — specifically the Cal.com appointment calendar — are blocked by default. They are only loaded after you click the confirmation button or grant consent via our settings banner. You can change or revoke this consent at any time.

Contact Form & Web3Forms

When submitting an inquiry via our contact form, we collect the details you provide to review your celebration, prepare a tailored planning proposal, and respond to your questions.

Collected Information:
Your names, email address, optional phone number, selected celebration type (Full Planning, Partial Planning, Day-of Coordination, Milestone Event), intended wedding/event date, location or venue preference, estimated guest count, planned budget range, and your personal message.

Technical Delivery Service: Web3Forms

For encrypted and spam-protected transmission of contact form submissions, we use the technical forwarding service Web3Forms. When you click „Anfrage unverbindlich senden“, your form entries are securely transmitted via an encrypted SSL/TLS API to Web3Forms, which immediately forwards the message to our designated business inbox (Info.eventsbyalicea@web.de). Web3Forms acts as a data processor and does not sell or market your personal information.

Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your voluntary consent by sending the form).

Online Consultation Booking via Cal.com

To make scheduling our personal introduction call effortless and clear, we provide an appointment booking tool on our website powered by Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., USA / EU-hosted infrastructure).

Two-Click Privacy Shield

To protect your privacy, Cal.com is not loaded automatically. A connection to Cal.com servers is established only when you actively click the „Load interactive calendar“ button, or when you choose to open Cal.com in a separate window. When loaded, Cal.com may collect technical log data and session cookies necessary to display available slots and prevent duplicate bookings.

Data Processed During Booking: When booking a time slot, Cal.com captures your name, email address, chosen meeting time, and any optional notes you supply. This data is used solely to organize and conduct our consultation meeting.

Legal Basis & Alternative Options: The integration is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Booking performance is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If you do not wish to use Cal.com, you can arrange a meeting at any time via WhatsApp, email, or our contact form without using the third-party calendar.
